Food For Thought: Each presentation will feature a recent graduate dentist who will talk about their journey in the profession. Every student who attends a Food For Thought and stays to the end will have a chance to win some cash, giftcards and tshirts.

Dental Scholarship Program: The MDA Foundation Dental Scholarship Program- awards scholarships each year based upon achievement and need. The scholarship program is an initiative of the MDA Foundation in cooperation with the MDA and MDIS. Click here to learn more.
Communications: MDA publishes a magazine 6 times a year and provides YOU with a free issue. You will automatically receive an email to view the magazine digitally however if you prefer to have your newsletter mailed to you, you must email Stacey and inform her of your mailing preference and provide her with your mailing address.
Sponsorship: The MDA supports dental student events like ASDA Fever Week and White Coat Ceremonies. MDA also sponsors a student liaison from the UMKC School of Dentistry and A.T. Still University to attend the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) Annual Session or Regional Meeting.
New Dentist Committee: Student Liaison from the UMKC School of Dentistry and A.T. Still University serves on the state New Dentist Committee.
Board Exams: MDIS provides lunch for students taking the dental board exams in April/May and MDA/MDIS compiles membership benefit and insurance materials for the dental board candidates.
MDA App: The MDA has created a mobile app to be a resource to its members. MDA members can access their ADA number, stay current with MDA news, find the most up-to-date calendar and events, student offerings, savings and more, all from the convenience of an app.
Social Media: Various social media channels keep you connected with what’s happening at your Association. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube or read the MDA Blog The Week That Was. The ADA New Dentist Now Blog features resources for new dentists and dental students as well as news and insight on the dental profession and beyond.
MyADA: There is a lot of moving when you are in dental school. Update your home mailing address, photo, etc. Visit ada.org/MyADA. Your user ID is typically your school email address. If you have any issues–you can always email Stacey your contact info.
Insurance: A complete array of products and services including board exam policies and health, life, disability, home and auto insurance for students and their families, all from the MDA subsidiary, Missouri Dental Insurance Services (MDIS).
Student Delegate: Representation at the House of Delegates, MDA’s annual membership meeting.
Free Registration & CE Courses: Dental Students can attend any MDA continuing education meetings for free.
