Dr. Jeremy Bowen, 154th MDA President

Installed for 2022-23 at MDA House of Delegates meeting, November 5.

Jeremy BowenDr. Jeremy Bowen, a general dentist in Independence, Mo., was installed as the 154th president of the Missouri Dental Association (MDA) on November 5, 2022 at the Association’s House of Delegates meeting.

As MDA president, Dr. Bowen will preside over each quarterly Board of Trustees meeting, but also represent the MDA at various component meetings and at events of other dental stakeholder groups. The MDA president also serves as an ex-officio member on the board of Missouri Dental Insurance Services (the MDA’s wholly-owned insurance agency) and as a voting member on the MDA Foundation Board (the MDA’s charitable arm).

Dr. Bowen practices at Dental Arts in Independence and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Since then, he has been an active member in the American Dental Association, MDA and Greater Kansas City Dental Society, where he is a past-president. Prior to this MDA office, Dr. Bowen served as MDA President-Elect and as Greater Kansas City Dental Society Trustee to the MDA Board.

He is a member American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a of the Fellow of both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Bowen and his wife Christine have two sons and a daughter. Outside dentistry, Dr. Bowen coaches his sons’ competitive football and baseball teams. He also has served for more than 25 years as a high school and collegiate football referee and has officiated as a crew chief in multiple playoff and championship games.
