Gov. Mike Parson and Rep. Cody Smith (R-163) have been honored with the 2022 Missouri Dental Association (MDA) Legislative Excellence Award. They were acknowledged at the Association’s annual awards banquet hosted during its House of Delegates in Jefferson City, November 4, 2022.
This award honors lawmakers who have been a friend to the dental profession in support of legislation that is a priority for the MDA.
Governor Parson and Representative Smith were instrumental in the passage of the historic rate increase for Missouri Dental Medicaid providers during the 2022 legislative session. Medicaid rate improvements for providers, to encourage additional provision of care for patients, has long been a legislative priority for the MDA.
