Parliamentary Presiding Workshop

The MDA will be hosting a Parliamentary Presiding Workshop March 15-17, 2019 at the Greater St. Louis Dental Society Executive Office. The Workshop will be presented by Barry M. Glazer, MD, a Certified Professional Parliamentarian and Teacher (CPP-T).

This workshop is perfect for anyone who is thinking about running for Speaker of the House of Delegates in the future, or for those who may wish to hone their presiding skills to help with component, MDA or ADA leadership roles.

The workshop is currently full and no longer accepting applications.  Thank you.

Registration & Fees

Due to the one-on-one instruction from Dr. Glazer and allowance for each participant to “practice” presiding, the workshop will be limited to 8 attendees. The MDA has six spots available for other registrants.

Dr. Glazer’s fee and expenses are the same regardless of the number of attendees; therefore, the final cost of the workshop depends on the number of registrants. Estimated cost per attendee is $1,000-$1,500. This includes other expenses associated with the workshop (such as included meals and breaks, etc.). The fee covers the cost for the workshop itself and meals provided during the workshop.

Because the MDA will be responsible for Dr. Glazer’s fee and expenses regardless of the number of attendees, we are asking that anyone interested in attending complete and return the attached registration form along with a $500 non-refundable deposit.

Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. We will not hold spots unless we receive the completed registration form and deposit. All expenses will be divided equally among each participant and billed after the workshop. Please contact Margie Kunze with any questions.

  • Travel Arrangements: Each attendee is responsible for making travel arrangements and for costs associated with travel.
  • Meals: All meals and breaks are covered in the cost of the workshop fee EXCEPT the Saturday Group Dinner, which will be offsite (location to be determined). For this, each attendee is responsible for the cost of his/her meal.
  • Hotel Accomodations: Hotel information will be shared at a later date.
