6/15/10 | Missouri Dental Association Public Education Campaign kits arriving in your mailbox now! MDA dentists should have their ?Your Mouth Is Talking' toolkits by now. Want a great idea to display your posters? MDA had them created in a standard 16X20 size so that you could purchase frames. Just today we hung our posters in the MDA board room and also, our series of facts sheets ? which we framed ? in the office ...front entrance. They make a great statement and were easy and inexpensive to frame.
6/8/10 | Missouri Dental Association MDA "Find A Dentist" now features photo, map and refer to a friend! The MDA has updated the "Find A Dentist" search on its website, making it a more useful to consumers. As a member benefit, your office contact information, location and website are all featured within the listing. 5/21/10 | Missouri Dental Association Court Agrees With CIGNA, MetLife In Denying Dentists' Racketeering Claims Recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings were the underlying reason a federal appeals court in Florida decided to toss out a class-action lawsuit against CIGNA, MetLife and Mutual of Omaha.
5/4/10 | Missouri Dental Association Change Missouri's dental Medicaid system to help patients Over the past several months, members of the Missouri legislature have had to make some tough decisions regarding our state's budget. Members have spent hours examining countless programs and searching out waste and inefficiencies.
Despite these efforts, the legislature ? particularly the Senate ? missed a real opportunity to make important changes to the state's Dental Medicaid system.

4/1/10 | Missouri Dental Association IOM invites ADA testimony on oral health initiative The Association will urge "a strong dental presence" in federal health agencies as the Institute of Medicine opens hearings March 31 on "ways to increase public awareness of the relationship and importance of good oral health to good physical health; promote prevention and improve oral health literacy to health providers and the public; and recommend ways to improve access to oral health care."
3/22/10 | Missouri Dental Association ADPAC announces candidate training conference in June ADPAC is committed to increasing the political effectiveness of dentistry and is pleased to announce that it will select up to 10 dentist members to attend a three-day candidate training conference in Washington, D.C., June 10 - 12, 2010.
2/26/10 | Missouri Dental Association Bills adjusting payments for health insurance claims pass House and Senate unanimously As the summit on national health care raged in Washington on Thursday, a pair of bills in Missouri that would more quickly put insurance money into the pockets of medical care providers unanimously passed the House and Senate.
2/19/10 | Missouri Dental Association Antitrust reform tops ADA's legislative priorities The ADA put antitrust reform at the top of its legislative agenda for 2010, the organization announced in an online bulletin February 16. In a meeting in Washington, DC, last month, the ADA Council on Government Affairs selected repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act -- which exempts health and malpractice insurance companies from U.S. antitrust laws -- as a key goal.

2/17/10 | Missouri Dental Association Many Missouri dentists favor single-payer system as more efficient for needy patients Not all doctors embrace the idea of a single-payer health-care system. But it's exactly what a lot of dentists want for Medicaid patients in Missouri. The Missouri Dental Association argues that putting all Medicaid dollars for dental services in one pot and setting up a single-payer system to run it would produce a more efficient and less costly system.
2/17/10 | Missouri Dental Association Dental health issues go deeper than columnist wrote Caitlin Hartsell's recent guest commentary on dental therapists raised important issues surrounding access to oral healthcare in Missouri. We applaud her efforts to bring attention to what the surgeon general has referred to as the "Silent Epidemic" of dental and oral disease.
