BMP Online CE
Following you will find information on the MDA Amalgam CE program. This online CE is part of a larger effort to educate dentists about best practices related to amalgam waste handling and disposal practices, including the use of amalgam separators. Dentists are encouraged to use these best practices to help reduce the effects of amalgam waste on the environment. You can find a multitude of resources at the ADA website, including:

Amalgam Waste Best Management Practices. As a Member Benefit the Amalgam
Waste Management CE is FREE to all MDA members. Nonmembers please note
Putting Into Place the BMPs for Amalgam Waste Objectives:
- Learn about the history and composition of amalgam
- Learn about the impact of amalgam on the environment
- Discuss the ADA's Best Management Practices for amalgam
- Learn how to select, install and maintain an amalgam separator in your office
- Learn how to implement best management practices in your office
The video presentation has been split
into sections for your convenience. Once you have viewed the video please
proceed to the test options. After completing the test you will be contacted by
the MDA via email.

- Complete and submit the CE test form to the MDA
- Receive CE email notification from the MDA

Best Management Practices for Amalgam Waste. Course release date December
For non-member dentists, the fee is $50 per credit hour, which
must be paid before CE verification is provided.
The Missouri Dental Association is an ADA
CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental
Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of
continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual
courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards
