Staff Retreat - Ghost Hotel

Thankfully, the MDA and MDIS staff are afforded a little team building retreat each year. This year Margie planned a diverse trip to Eureka Springs, AR where we stayed at the Crescent Hotel which was built in 1886. From 1937-1940 it was owned by Dr. Norman Baker who made it the Hospital for Curable Cancer and claimed that the spring water had magical cures. Several deaths have occurred on the property during construction and over the years and this has resulted in a booming ghost tour business.
Brave souls that we are, we took the evening ghost tour. Time does not allow me to tell all the tales but our tour guide did show us the room where Theodora supposedly rearranges your things when you leave. We also saw the morgue (questionable doctor skills?) and the guide tested the energy meter on the floor. Watch out, the meter is hot! You can ask the staff next time you see them how well they endured their haunted stay.
