Sometimes work involves a little fun and today was one of those times. I was happy to represent the MDA Foundation and support Give Kids a Smile by playing in their charity golf tournament at Bogey Hills Country Club.
The turnout was great and it's super to see so many dentists and vendors get behind this worthwhile charity. I suspect one of the reasons for the great turnout is the great treatment you receive. Check out executive director Joan Allen (3rd from L) and her fantastic crew above.
I played with a fine contingent of Henry Schein guys. You can see Keith Giebe, Brad Corder, and Steve Burroughs above in a dry moment. Our play was rough at times and servicable at times but our capacity for fun never waivered. Mercifully the rain chased us off the course for a bit and I drove on back to celebrate my anniversary. These stout young Henry Schein men were able to finish the round and post even par. I don't think we won! But lest you think I'm always finishing last, I did play in a scramble with my son and his friends and we won with a 14 under score.
I could post about golf all day but I'll keep to the point - cheers to GKAS and all those who support their excellent work.
