Alliance of the MDA
The Alliance (dental spouses) is committed to dental health
education in the community, legislative advocacy on behalf of the dental
profession, and the well being of the dental family.
An Overview
Who better understands what it means to be a dental spouse than another
dental spouse? Whether your dentist spouse is in general practice or a
specialty, we have a shared bond: we are raising families, working in our own
professions and volunteering in our communities.
The Alliance of the MDA (AMDA) is a constituent of the
Alliance of the
ADA (AADA). It is the mission of the Alliance to work to promote and support the
profession of dentistry, in the public arena, the marketplace and the home.
Stay informed and proactive towards challenges and opportunities
confronting the dental profession
Participate in the legislative arena
Volunteer in activities that bring oral health information to the public
Support and network with other dental couples and families
Goals of the Alliance
Enhance the working relationship with our partner organization, the MDA
Maintain and increase membership
Improve the professional image of the Alliance
Alliance Projects & News
There is opportunity for Alliance involvement on the local, state and
national level. There are areas for all interests, and participating doesn't
mean you have to invest a great deal time. Plus, your efforts can be very
rewarding.
Sample projects include:
Dental health education programs for the young and elderly, such as Give
Kids a Smile and Senior Smiles
Legislator Welcome Kits and delivery of Oral Health Kits to the Missouri
General Assembly
Provide dental health information to interested parties through health
fairs and other community projects
