HB 1531 – Rep. Wanda Brown’s CBCT/Panoramic X-ray systems bill. This bill passed out of the House and onto the Senate.

HB 1717 – Rep. Donna Lichtenegger’s community water fluoridation bill. This bill has a Senate committee hearing set for Tuesday, March 29. Drs. David Dear and Lori Henderson plan to testify in support on behalf of the MDA.

SB 870 – Sen. Kraus’ MO HealthNet provider income tax deduction bill. This bill has been voted out of committee.

SB 999 – Sen. Wayne Wallingford’s insurance provider reform bill. This bill had a hearing on Tuesday, March 1.

HB 2027 – Rep. Donna Lichtenegger’s “extended access” bill for dental hygienists. This bill had a hearing on Tuesday, March 8.

HB 1923 – Rep. Jay Barnes’ telehealth/teledentistry bill. This bill has been set on the House calendar for upcoming debate. Currently, the MDA supports this legislation.

SB 621 – Sen. Gary Romine’s telehealth/teledentistry bill. This bill was second read on the House floor. Currently, the MDA supports this legislation.

SB 1138 – Sen. Wayne Wallingford’s royalty payment bill. We had several members contact the sponsor’s office on this bill and were assured he does not intend to move forward with it based on our opposition.

SB 608 – Sen. David Sater’s missed appointment fee bill. This bill had a hearing this week in front of the House Health Insurance Committee. We anticipate it being voted out during the next hearing.

SB 774 – Sen. Eric Schmitt’s Boards and Commissions bill. This bill had a hearing March 15.

HB 1682 – Rep. Keith Frederick’s “Medical Practice Freedom Act”. This bill has been first read in the Senate.

HB 1839 – Rep. Kim Gardner’s “Health Care Professionals Cultural Competency Act”. This bill has not yet been referred to committee. (DEAD)

HB 2061 – Rep. Don Gosen’s HMO health benefit plan bill. This bill has had a hearing, no vote yet.
